  • OSCE reports confirms intensified attacks and shelling from mid February 2022
  • A “secret order” for a planned attack and offensive against Donbas was issued by the commander of the Ukrainian National Guard, dated January 22, 2022, documents show.
  • According to OSCE reports, shelling and explosions in Donbas region intensified from mid February.

  • This is reportedly one of the reasons that led Putin to recognize the independence of the Republic and to consider an intervention under Article 51 of the UN charter.

The increased shelling and explosions was also reported by Voa News and Reuters (in their own biassed way...)

The Russian Defense Ministry got their hands on and published the original order issued by Commander of the Ukrainian National back in March this year, according to TASS.

“The document establishes a battalion tactical group of the National Guard’s Fourth Operational Brigade, ensures the provision of necessary supplies and resubordinates it to the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. I would like to point out that since 2016, the brigade has been trained by US and British instructors in Lvov in accordance with NATO training programs,” the Russian Defense Ministry spokesman stressed.
